Richard Shank s’est éteint doucement, dans sa 81e année, le samedi 23 mai 2026, entouré de sa famille.
L’âme sœur de Richard, Connie (Fletcher), est décédée seulement 50 jours avant lui. Ils étaient destinés à être ensemble. Richard est également prédécédé par ses parents bien-aimés, Simone (Raymond) et Bernadin, par son jeune frère Marquis (Denise), ainsi que par sa nièce tant aimée, Julie Francoeur (Dianne).
Richard était le père / Poppa Doo fier de son unique enfant, Carolyn, de son gendre Shane (plus comme un fils) et de leur famille, Braedon (Chloe) et Riley.
Richard laisse dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs : Daniel (Ghislaine), Robert, Dianna (Roger), Larry (Lynda) et Joanne (Daniel). Il laisse également dans le deuil les membres de sa belle-famille, Randy Fletcher (Sheila) et Marion Fletcher (Ivan), ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces qu’il chérissait profondément.
Richard entretenait aussi un lien particulièrement fort avec Darlene Raymond et sa fille Natasha.

Une célébration de vie aura lieu le samedi 11 juillet à 12 h à l’église Our Lady of the Lake à Kipawa, Québec, suivie d’une réception.
Richard Shank, gently passed away in his 81st year on Saturday, May 23, 2026, with family by his side.
Richard’s soul mate, Connie (Fletcher) passed away only 50 days earlier. They were always destined to be together. Richard is also predeceased by his loving parents, Simone (Raymond) and Bernadin, his younger brother Marquis (Denise), and his much-loved niece, Julie Francoeur (Dianne).
Richard was the proud father / Poppa Doo of his only child, Carolyn, son-in-law Shane (more like a son) and their family, Braedon (Chloe) and Riley.
Richard is survived by his siblings: Daniel (Ghislaine), Robert, Dianna (Roger), Larry (Lynda), and Joanne (Daniel). He is also survived by his in-laws, Randy Fletcher (Sheila) and Marion Fletcher (Ivan) and his love for his many nieces and nephews was top-notch.
Richard was also especially close with Darlene Raymond and her daughter, Natasha.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Kipawa, Quebec with reception to follow.
