It is with profound sorrow that the Richards family announces that Pat Richards passed away suddenly at the age of 60 on November 18, 2014, at his home in Temiscaming, Quebec. Beloved husband of 18 yrs to Linda, proud father of Tina and Darryl and treasured Papa to Cassandra and Emma. He is survived by his sisters Gwen (Serge), Rosemary (Ray) and brothers Malcolm (Renee), Ken (Therese) as well as his many nephews, nieces and cousins. God father to Shane. He is predeceased by his parents Benny and Sally as well as his sister Christine and brother Ralph. He felt most at home in the bush, when camping with his family and fishing with his children. He was an avid angler, hunter and fan of the Titans. Pat left a legacy of respect for over 20 years at Tembec. He was also a volunteer with Restem and Zec Restigo. A man of few words; quiet and stoic who never hesitated to lend a hand. He will be sorely missed, but our memories of him will live in our minds and our hearts forever. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Maison Funéraire Robert & Fils Inc in Temiscaming, Quebec. Lunch reception to follow Tuesday's celebration at the Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated, made in his honour, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
