La Coopérative funéraire du Témiscamingue vous informe du décès de Monsieur Thomas Kavanagh de Temiscaming. Il est décédé le 22 juillet 2024, à l'âge de 80 ans. Thomas est né le 29 décembre 1943 à Témiscaming. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents Patrick Kavanagh et Kathleen Mooney.
Monsieur Kavanagh laisse dans le deuil sa tendre épouse Susan, ses fils; Sean (Kimberly), Michael (Christa) et sa petite-fille Lila. Il était le frère de Terrence (Kirsten) et Patrick (Linda). Ses neveux et nièces aimait toujours passer du temps avec leur oncle Tom.
La famille de Monsieur Thomas Kavanagh invite parents et amis à se joindre à elle pour se recueillir le jeudi le 1 août de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h à la Coopérative funéraire du Témiscamingue, 11 avenue Riordon, Témiscaming. Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 2 août à 11h à l’église St-Thérèse de Témiscaming.
En mémoire de M. Kavanagh, des dons peuvent être transmis à mission Tournesol.

The Temiscamingue Funeral Cooperative announces the passing of Mr. Thomas Kavanagh on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the age of 80 years surrounded by his family. Thomas was born on December 29,1943 in Temiscaming and he was predeceased by his parents Patrick Weldon Kavanagh and Kathleen Mooney.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan, sons Sean (Kimberly) and Michael (Christa), his granddaughter Lila and brothers Terrence (Kirsten) and Patrick (Linda).
His nieces and nephews and their children always enjoyed spending time with their Uncle Tom. He taught them outdoor skills and made many memories. Tom will be fondly remembered by all his extended relatives and friends.
During his life, Tom was an active sports player who excelled at hockey, soft ball, curling, canoeing, fishing and skiing. He cherished the good times, friendships and memories made.
Family & friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Temiscamingue Funeral Cooperative, 11 Riordon Avenue (Temiscaming). A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St-Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Temiscaming.
In memory of Thomas, donations to Mission Tournesol would be greatly appreciated.

There are too many friends departing from Temiscaming recently and Tommy is the latest. Sincere condolences to Susan, Sean and Michael and the extended Kavanagh family , Terry, Kristin and the girls.
I will always remember the hockey games we played against each other in the old Temiscaming arena. He was a defenseman who executed the “can opener” move on any forward playing against him . And he did it successfully without penalties .. mostly.
But he always did it with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. What a great guy to meet, enjoy and appreciate.
